OAP comedienne is stoned Rivers

JOAN Rivers pushes the boundaries again by allowing cameras to film her getting high on marijuana.

The 78-year-old comedienne is seen smoking a pipe with a pal in the latest episode of her reality TV show Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best.

Feeling stressed after the parents of her daughter Melissa's boyfriend Jason Zimmerman come to stay, Joan's friend Lynne hatches a plan.

They visit a medical marijuana doctor for a prescription before heading to a pot shop and smoking their stash in a car park.

After laughing and giggling on the front seats of Lynne's car, it suddenly dawns on the duo that they're too stoned to drive home.

So Joan calls Melissa asking for a lift, much to her daughter's fury.

Arriving to pick up the mischievous pair, she rants: "Oh my god, we have to go right now come on, we're going home... I'm ashamed of both of you.

"You guys went and bought pot with Jason's parents in town.

"My 78-year-old mother has now become 17, and I have become a soccer mum yelling at her teenage kid."

Her mood only worsens when "starving" Joan and Lynne – suffering with the munchies – ask Melissa to pull over at a roadside food truck on the way back.

Sounds like a lot of hamming it up for the cameras. Way too many stoner cliches in that.

No mention of what the prescription is for. I'm actually in favor of legalization, treating pot like alcohol. I don't think it'll end harder drug use but I don't see it as any worse than getting drunk.
